Cabin Fever (and other things)

Here are some funny things that happened during the week that our area was covered with ice and snow. Which also coincided with the week that I had no internet--yuck!

I found pepper in the peanut butter jar---lots of it.

I found the boys fighting over a bag of Christmas M&Ms, that I thought was hidden.

I found a bowl full of cream-of-wheat powder heating in the microwave.

I found a bowl of Nutella mixed with cream-of-wheat powder.

I found a ball point pen in the freezer.

My husband went a full day at work, not noticing that his shirt was inside out. (he says he hardly took his coat off that day, thank goodness)

I went to the store and helped the cashier figure out how much to charge the woman in front of me who had brought in an ad for bananas--3 pounds for a dollar. (we do live in a small town, you know)

I wore jeans and tennis shoes to church on a Sunday morning for the first time in my life (that I can remember). For some reason I felt like a college kid, not sure why.

I dragged my whole family out of the house only a day after the snow came so that we could drive around and look at all the beauty created by the snow and ice. AND so I could take pictures of it all with my husband's camera while HE was driving :)

I forced my five-year-old to put on the boots he had, so far, refused to wear, so that he could go out in the snow without getting his socks wet. After he realized that putting on boots meant going outside, he has started putting them on everyday!

I thought the ice-and-snow had messed up our antenna reception, only to realize that one of the boys (and I have my suspicions) had pulled the antenna cord out of place.

I went tennis-shoe-skating down our street, hoping none of the neighbors were watching. (I am almost 32, for pete's sake)

There were other things, but I can't think of them right now. Today the sun is shining and almost all of the white stuff is gone!
