End of October

Wow. Life happens and time passes so quickly. I can't believe November is almost here.
We are getting close to the holiday season, so I expect our schedule to be full soon.

The boys are both doing well in school so far. PJ5 finally has a permanent teacher for his class, so he'll have some new things to get used to over the next few weeks. We got to meet her last night, and I really like her. (Hopefully, he will too!)

Four days until election. I can't wait to see what happens! Really, I think it's exciting that the people of this country have the opportunity to change the course of events in government. It is both a privilege and a responsibility. I wish more people saw it that way.

Some friends of ours are holding a black kitten for me. It's old enough for me to take it now, but I keep hesitating to go get it. I'm gone from the house often enough that I'm afraid it might get lonely. There's a second kitten that hasn't been taken by anyone yet, but hubby says "Only one cat!" Maybe I'm hesitating because deep down I don't want to get attached and then lose another pet. Hmm.

"Do you love me?"

"Then obey me."

That's pretty much what I just told PJ5. We are really struggling with him right now. Literally and figuratively. I'm so tired of fighting him.

The problem

Alright, here's the problem. I can carve out a few minutes here and there to blog. And I want to. But I find myself talking so much about autism, and I didn't intend for this blog to be about autism. And I find myself letting out frustration and complaints here, but I don't want this to a be a negative place.

I can't decide what to do. I've thought about changing the name of the blog and making it more about autism. Since autism is my life right now. Or I can just keep things as they are and try to make sure I balance every negative post with something else that's positive. What do you think? (all 5 of you readers, that is)

This reminds me of something that's been going through my head. When I was little my mom used to play/sing to me an old song---"First you say you do, and then you don't" Another phrase from the song is "you're undecided now--so what are you gonna do?" It's a peppy song, and was a friendly poke at my indecisiveness. I've been thinking about that song alot lately because it seems I am as indecisive as I ever was. *sigh*

Soon

I am going to start blogging again. Sometime. Probably not today, though. But soon.
